The Undergraduate Scholars Showcase will be held on Thursday, May 19 (9 am – 3 pm) and Friday, May 20 (9 am – 3 pm) in the Wilson Library Reading Room (aka“Harry Potter” Room).

Posters will be on display both days, but students will only present their poster during their assigned session.  The registration form asks students to indicate their preferred session for presenting; however we cannot guarantee we will be able to accommodate their requests. The poster session offers undergraduate students in any discipline an opportunity to share their scholarly activity with the WWU community.

Important Information (Poster Guidelines:

  • Poster Dimensions. Posters must be “portrait style” with dimensions no larger than 30” × 40” (width × height).
  • Limited Number of Submissions for Poster Competition.  Only 2 undergraduate posters per faculty membermay be entered into the poster competition.  Posters with graduate student co-presenters are not eligible for the competition. Note:  there is no limit to the number of posters that a faculty mentor may have displayed at the poster session.  The limit only applies to the number of posters that will be judged as part of the poster competition.
  •  Required Poster Judging.  Faculty mentors of students participating in the poster competition are required to serve as judges for the competition.  In special circumstances this requirement may be waived.  A Scholars Week representative will contact mentors prior to the competition with instructions on how to participate in judging.

We hope that you and your students will be able to participate in this signature Western event!
